Hotel logistics in Orlando
On-Disney and on-Universal hotels charge resort fees of $35–45 a night; many off-site I-Drive hotels do not. Parking on Disney property is free for resort guests but $30+ for day visitors; off-site hotels usually include parking. Hurricane season runs June through November with afternoon storms but generally short ones. Lowest park crowds and prices fall in mid-January, the first half of September, and the first half of December.

Rosen Plaza
9700 International Drive, Orlando, FL
Rosen Plaza is one of three independently owned Rosen hotels on International Drive in Orlando, directly across from the Orange County Convention Center's West Building. It is not affiliated with any major chain or theme park. The property is built for convention traffic — a 60,000 square foot ballroom, large pool deck, and easy walk to the I-Drive trolley. Universal Orlando is roughly ten minutes by car; Walt Disney World is twenty.
